BUGGY (930173.1 &.4)/ SAFETY VALVE TYPE 1445 MFD. BY MANNING, MAXWELL,
MOORE INC., STRATFORD, CONN./ THE CHASSIS, REAR AXLE, ENGINE, STEERING
MECHANISM ARE ALL ORIGINAL COMPONENTS OF SETH TAYLOR`S VEHICLE. MOST OF
THE REMAINDER, THE BOILER, WHEELS ETC. ARE NOT ORIGINAL./ IN 1867 SETH
TAYLOR, A WATCHMAKER FROM STANSTEAD, QUE. UNVEILED HIS STEAM BUGGY, THE
PRODUCT OF 7 YEARS WORK. IT WAS A 4 WHEEL, 1 SEATER, OPEN CARRIAGE WITH
TILLER STEERING, A WATER TANK OVER THE FRONT AXLE, A WOOD FIRED AXLE WITH 60 LBS PRESSURE.
AFTER CRASHING IT ON ITS SECOND RUN, TAYLOR ABANDONED AUTOMOBILE PRODUCTION
