It takes a lot of hard work to succeed at anything worthwhile in life. Nothing comes easy and there are no shortcuts. To be the best that one can be it takes years and years of practise and work. The one thing that great athletes and companies have in common is a strong work ethic. Xtreme Canada was designed as a showcase for amazing feats of human achievement involving physical as well as product research and development which pushes the limits beyond which was thought possible. A perfect example would be when the time was broken for the running mile, for years people thought that breaking the four minute mile was impossible until someone broke the previous record and it opened the flood gates. The internet allows us instantaneous communication any where in the world to share places, new events or products that we come in contact with on a daily basis. On May 5th of 2005, I rode my Intense M1 downhill bicycle 4,600 kilometres across Canada on a ride which would forever change my life, thanks to the people along the way who made it possible and put a smile on my face at the end of the day despite the forty days of rain and a broken frame.
