LG/FIS Big Air (BA) World Cup
Big Air might be the only non-Olympic event at the Jamboree, but it’s one of the most impressive, especially when it’s held in downtown Québec City! Of the 12 Canadians competing, two qualified for the finals. Marc McMorris, a young man of 16 who hails from Regina, gave hope to the crowd of 25,000 that watched the final by making first place his own throughout the competition, but a missed last jump relegated him to eighth place. He could nevertheless go home happy with his first appearance in a World Cup.
